ORDER:
1.In the reference read above, Global Hindu Heritage Foundation & Save Temples.
Organisation, USA has requested the Government to consider treating the Sri Krishna Janmastami as Gopuja Dinotsavam so that people can offer worship to the cow on that day.
2.Government have carefully examined the matter and observed that it is fact that
Lord Sri Krishna was a cowherd had worshipped the cow regularly. The cow is the most sacred animal on earth because of its saatvic nature.
3.In view of the above Government conclude that it is quite appropriate to declare Sri Krishna Janmastami as Gopuja Dinotsavam and encourage people to worship the cow and protect the cow.
4.Keeping the above position, Government hereby declared that every “Sri Krishna Janmastami” shall be observed as “Gopuja Dinotsavam”.
5.All the Executive officers of all temples are directed to take up Gopuja activities
on Sri Krishna Janmastami hereafter every year.
6.The Commissioner, Endowments, A.P., Hyderabad shall take necessary action
accordingly.
