CPS Holders Submit PAN/Aadhaar have been made mandatory for existing and new PRAN account as per Cir.Memo No. F2/13188/2018.
NATIONAL PENSION SYSTEM both PAN and Aadhaar have been made mandatory for existing and new PRAN accounts to be opened under National Pension System    lnstructions as per Cir.Memo No. F2/13188/2018.

All the Treasury Officers / PAOs / PAO (W&A)s in the State are informed that, as per guidelines issued by Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority, based on the Notification No. GSR 538 (E), dated June 01st, 2017 of the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, being the Prevention of Money Laundering (Maintenance of Records) Second Amendment Rules,2017, both PAN and Aadhaar have been made mandatory,for existing and new PRAN accounts to be opened under National Pension System.

In view of the above guidelines, all NPS Subscribers are required to submit their PAN and Aadhaar in the CRA System. lf PAN and Aadhaar is not updated, PRAN will get frozen for noncompliance of PFRDA guidelines. Hence, the NPS Subscribers need to update PAN and Aadhaar,
at the earliest by using any of the options mentioned in the annexure.

There fore, all the Treasury Officers / PAOs / PAO (W&A)s in the State are requested to dissemenent this information to drowing and disporsing officer subscribe their juridection to prominently display the curculer in their notice as will as byway of any other possi ble commu nication.

The options for updation of PAN and Aadhaar details under NPS:

Updation of PAN:


Subscriber can update PAN by submitting physical request to the associated Nodal Office. Subscriber is required to download Form Sz (Subscriber Details Change Form) / PAN & Aadhaar Updation Form from CRA website (www.npscra.nsdl.co.in) and submit the same to the Nodal Office. On
receipt of duly filled-up request, the Nodal Office will update PAN details in the CRA system.

The Afacility is available to Subscribers to seed Aadhaar in the CRA system using login credentials. In this regard, Subscriber needs to follow below steps:

Subscriber can link Aadhaar to NPS account by accessing CRA website.



  • Subscriber is required to log-in to his / her NPS account (www.cra-nsdl.com) and select the option of 'Update Aadhaar/Address Details' under the ma in menu  Update Data. 
  • The option will be available to provide Aadhaar & generate OTP. Also, Subscriber is required to accept the consent for seeding of Aadhaar under NPS.
  • On accepting consent for Aadhaar seeding, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number registered with UlDAl.
  • On entering the correct OTP, the details of Subscriber registered under NPS will get authenticated.
  • with details available in UIDAI database.
  • On successful authentication, Aadhaar will get seeded under NPS.


Aadhaar Seeding through NPS Mobile App:


Subscriber can link Aadhaar to his/her NPS account using Mobile App. Subscriber is required to log into the App with User lD & password and select the option of 'Add / Update Aadhaar Number' & follow the steps as mentioned above under Point I for seeding of Aadhaar.

Aadhaar Updation through Nodal Office:


Subscriber can update Aadhaar by submitting physical request to the associated Nodal Office.

Subscriber is required to download PAN & Aadhaar Updation Form from CRA website
(www.npscra.nsdl.co.in) and submit the same to the Nodal Office. On receipt of duly filled-up request, the Nodal Office will update Aadhaar details in the CRA system .

The physical Forms ore to be retained bA the Nodal Officefor record purpose.

Note: Subseriber is required to seed Aadhaar in his / her PRAN through the aboue process euen Aadhaar ues prouided eorlier under NPS.
