PR&RD-Appointment of Special Officers to the Gram Panchayats in the State under Section 136 of Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018- Called for proposal as per Memo No.7033/Pts.III/A2/2018, Dt:13.7.2018.
The attention of the all the District Collectors in the State are invited to the reference cited, wherein it has been informed that the State Election Commission has issued tentative notification Ordinary elections to Gram Panchayats since (5) years term of the Gram Panchayats will be expires after 1.8.2018.
As per the orders of the Hon'ble High Court in W.P.No.20447 of 2018, there is a need for appointment of Special Officers for continuation and for smooth administration of Gram Panchayats after 1.8.2018 and until assume of the offices of elected bodies to the Gram Panchayats.
Therefore all the District Collectors in the State are requested to furnish the proposals for appointing Special Officers to all the Gram Panchayats until assume of the Offices of elected bodies to the G.Ps to Government immediately for taking necessary action in the matter.
This should be treated as Most Immediate and on Top-Priority.
