Subject: Notification for recruitment of meritorious sportspersons in the cadre of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant / Multi-Tasking Staff in Punjab Postal Circle.




Applications are from Nationals in the Proforma (Annexure-l) for Direct Recruitment of meritorious sportspersons from open market under SPORTS QUOTA for the vacancy years upto 2020 to the following Group 'C' posts in Punjab Postal Circle.

Postal Assistant (PA) in Post Offices/SBCO Sorting Assistant (SA) in Railway Mail Service Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in Post Offices/Postal Accounts Office

The recruitment process will be based on the guidelines issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India vide Memo No. 14034/01/2013-Estt. (D) dated 03-10-2013 and instructions issued thereto.

Age: The crucial date for determining the age-limit shall be 18.08.2021 i.e. the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates.

In addition, a special relaxation of upper age limit to a maximum of 5 years for all categories will be admissible. This concession will be available only to those sportspersons who satisfy all other eligibility conditions relating to educational qualifications, etc. and furnish a certificate in the form, from an authority as mentioned.

తాజాగా పోస్టల్ శాఖ నుంచి మరో జాబ్ నోటిఫికేషన్ విడుదలైంది. అభ్యర్థులు అధికారిక వెబ్‌సైట్‌ indiapost.gov.in లో దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవాల్సి ఉంటుంది. దరఖాస్తు చేయడానికి చివరి తేదీగా  ఆగస్టు 18ను నిర్ణయించారు అభ్యర్థులు  ఈ నోటిఫికేషన్ ద్వారా మొత్తం 57 ఖాళీలను భర్తీ చేయనున్నారు. ఇందులో 45 అసిస్టెంట్ పోస్టులు, సార్టింగ్ అసిస్టెంట్ 9 ఖాళీలు,  మల్టీ టాస్కింగ్ సిబ్బంది విభాగంలో మరో మూడు ఖాళీలు ఉన్నాయి.

పోస్టల్ అసిస్టెంట్ ఖాళీలకు అప్లై చేయాలనుకుంటున్న అభ్యర్థులు గుర్తింపు పొందిన బోర్డు నుంచి  ఇంటర్ పూర్తి చేసి ఉండాలి. ఏదైనా గుర్తింపు పొందిన సంస్థ నుంచి కంప్యూటర్ ట్రైనింగ్ సర్టిఫికేట్ పొంది ఉండాలి

మల్టీ టాస్కింగ్ స్టాఫ్ పోస్టులకు అప్లై చేయాలనుకుంటున్న వారు టెన్త్ పాసై ఉండాలి. స్థానిక భాష పై అవగాహన ఉండాలి


పోస్టల్ అసిస్టెంట్, సార్టింగ్ అసిస్టెంట్ ఉద్యోగాలకు అప్లై చేయాలనుకుంటున్న వారి వయస్సు 18 నుంచి 26 ఏళ్లు ఉండాలి. మల్టీ టాస్కింగ్ ఖాళీలకు అప్లై చేయాలనుకుంటున్న వారి వయస్సు 18 నుంచి 28 ఏళ్లు ఉండాలి


అసిస్టెంట్, స్టార్టింగ్ అసిస్టెంట్ పోస్టుకు ఎంపికైన వారికి నెలకు రూ .రూ.81,000 వరకు వేతనం చెల్లించనున్నారు. మల్టీ టాస్కింగ్ స్టాఫ్ పోస్టుకు జీతం స్కేల్ రూ .16 వేల నుంచి రూ .56,900 వరకు ఉంటుంది


Educational and Other Qualifications:



(1) Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant:


(a) Candidates must have passed 12h Standard or equivalent from a recognized Board or University from 

(b) Candidates will be required to furnish certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized Computer Training Institute before issuance of appointment letter. Computer Training Certificates from Central Government / State Government / University / Boards etc. will also be accepted. This requirement of Basic Computer knowledge certificate is relaxable in cases where a candidate has studied computer as a subject in matriculation or Class XII or higher educational qualification and in such cases a separate certificate will not be insisted upon. 


(a) Candidates must have passed 10th standard pass from recognized Multi-Tasking Staff Board.

(b) Knowledge of local language of the concerned State or Union.


Territory. The candidate should have studied local language at least upto 10 standard. (1) As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification dated 10-06-2015 published in Gazette of India all the degrees/ diplomas /certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of

Note: the University Grant Commission Act 1956 and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government provided they have been approved by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission.

(ii) In case of the candidates possessing equivalent education qualification, such candidates shall also attach relevant equivalence certificate from the concerned authorities. The Chief Postmaster General, Punjab Circle reserves the right for the final decision in respect of selection of such candidates

Sports Eligibility for the post of PA / SA / MTS: Appointments will be made of sportspersons considered meritorious with reference to the following criteria:

Sportsmen who have represented a State or the country in the National or International competition in any of the games/sports listed at para no. 8 Sportsmen who have represented their University in the Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Boards in any of the games/sports listed at para no. 8

A Sportsmen who have represented the State Schools Teams in the National Sports/Games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federations in any of the games/sports listed at para no. 8 Sportsmen who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.


METHOD OF SELECTION: 


Selection of the candidates will be made on educational and sports qualification and subject to fulfillment of prescribed conditions.

Meritorious Sportspersons will be selected for appointment based on the instructions contained in the Department of Personnel & Training OM no.14015/1/76-Estt. (D) dated 04 08-1980 and as amended from time to time and consolidated instructions issued by DOPT vide OM No. No.14034/01/2013-Estt. (D) dated 03-10-2013.


The order of preference is as under:


a) First Preference: Candidates who have represented the country in an INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION with the clearance of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports,

b) Second Preference: Candidates who have represented a State / Union Territory in the SENIOR OR JUNIOR LEVEL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS organized by the National Sports Federations recognized by the Department of Youth Affairs & Sports or National Games organized by Indian Olympics Association and have won medals or positions up to 3rd place. Between the candidates participating in Senior and Junior National Championships / games, the candidates having participated and won medal in Senior National Championship gets preference.

c) Third Preference: Candidates who have represented a University in an INTER UNIVERSITY COMPETITION conducted by Association of Indian Universities / Inter University Sports Board and have won medals or positions up to 3rd place in finals.

d) Fourth Preference: Candidates who have represented the State Schools in the NATIONAL SPORTS/GAMES FOR SCHOOLS conducted by the All India School Games Federation and have won medals or positions up to 3rd place. e) Fifth Preference: Candidates 10. f) Sixth Preference: Candidates who have represented a State Union Territory / University State School Teams at the Levels (b) to (d) above but could not win at medal or position, in the same order of preference of Educations & Social Efficiency Drive


Note 1: In the event of tie those who have secured a higher position or won more than one medals will be given the preference.

Note 2: Participation in individual and team event / item will be given the same preference.

Note 3: No preference will be given for winning more than one medal / position.

Note 4: In case of any doubt the status of a tournament, the matter will be decided by the Department of

Personnel & Training in consultation with Department of Sports and Youth Affairs. Note 5: The decision of competent authority i.e. Chief Postmaster General, Punjab Circle will be binding on all.


DIS QUALIFICATION:


Person who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or Person who having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall not be eligible for appointment to said posts.

Provided that Central government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule.
